Behavior
We insist on reasonable behavior that is
considerate of other paying guests.
Indemnity
All guests that enter Kudu Ridge Game Ranch (inclusive of all areas)
need to take note of clearly displayed indemnity notices at the entrances.
Indemnity forms need to be signed by all upon arrival. The designated leader
of each group may sign on behalf of a group and it is their responsibility to
ensure all members of their group or family or party are fully aware of
the contents thereof. We unfortunately cannot accept or entertain
any guests who are not prepared to sign such an indemnity.
Children
No charge applies to infants not making use of a bed
(i.e. using carry cots, 'snug and safes' etc). Parents are
reminded that the supervision of minors, is solely
their responsibility and the same terms and
conditions referred to in our indemnity
apply unconditionally to any minor.
Bar / Liquor
We are awaiting our liquor license and
all rules apply as if already granted. By law
we are not allowed to serve liquor to persons under
the age of 18 and hence would kindly ask that such persons
are not allowed at the bar counter. Guests are not permitted to
bring their own beverages onto site and are expected to support the
provided service. A breach of this condition will result in an extra
charge being added onto the final bill, representing the
estimated amount that the lodge would otherwise
have charged for the said beverages. Wine lists
and Bar prices are available upon request.
If during the course of your stay or function
the management of Kudu Ridge Game Ranch or any
of its subsidiaries, in their absolute discretion, are of the
opinion that a guest or guests have become intoxicated, they
reserve the right to suspend service and the supply of
alcohol to any such guest/s, and/or to require such
guest/s to leave the licensed area of the premises.
Game Drives
The member of staff driving the game viewing
vehicle is responsible for your safety and adherence
to his or her instructions at all times is not negotiable.
Walks and Hiking
Guests embark on any walk and hike at their own risk and
are urged to take a cell phone or two-way radio with them, to
enable communication in the case of any emergency.
Check-in and Check-out times
Check-in time is 14h00 and check-out time is 11h00.
Damages
All damages to any of our venues, cutlery, crockery, linen,
furniture or equipment, will be charged directly to the client
or his company in the event of a corporate booking.
Kudu Ridge Game Ranch or any of its subsidiaries
or employees do not accept responsibility for any
injury, loss, damage or death by whatever cause,
including power failures or acts of God.
useful information
Guests are advised to bring the following items along:
Comfortable casual clothing, such as shorts and t-shirts for walks
Warm clothing, such as jeans, top / sweater or jacket for afternoon
game drives or the evenings around the fire in the lapa. Swim wear during summer months. Comfortable shoes, such as takkies or hiking boots ('closed' footwear a must in the evenings for protection). Personal
toiletries and Tabbard or any effective tick and
insect repellent. Torch. Binoculars.
ground rules
Please note than cell phone reception is not a given on
all parts of the farm. The complex in and around the lapa and conference centre is fully covered by Vodacom by means of a cell booster installed on the complex, with the other cell phone providers having a sporadic / 60% coverage via their respective towers.
We make use of a septic tank system and all
guests are requested not to place any artificial items
or objects down the sewerage system, as it would destroy
the enzymes responsible for the processing of your waste.
As water is collected from sporadic rain fall only, you
are reminded to ensure that all taps and toilets
are properly closed and that no
unnecessary water is wasted.
Due to the extremely dry
weather conditions recently
experienced, resulting in conducive
conditions for the start of veldt fires, smoking
is restricted to designated areas only, and definitely
not allowed in the veldt. Please consult management
upon your arrival as to more information on
designated areas for smoking. Fires are
only allowed in the lapas and
in the provided vessels.
