We are pleased to introduce a new Addo activity for the whole family, a giraffe walking safari.

This experience provides guests with the opportunity to observe giraffe on foot and at close range. The walk is offered at Bellevue Forest Reserve, a 30 minute drive from Kudu Ridge Game Lodge. This reserve is also near to the Addo Elephant National Park.

There is nothing quite like getting close to these iconic African animals in their natural environment. Guests are given the chance to quietly observe and take pictures of the giraffe. The animals are entirely wild and free on the 2,500 hectare private reserve.

Addo Giraffe Walking Safari: How it Works

The Addo giraffe walking safari is led by an experienced trail guide. The tour begins with a game drive on an open safari vehicle to find the giraffe. Once spotted, the group leaves the vehicle and moves closer to the giraffes, sometimes within 15 to 20 m. This is an intimate experience.
