We recently had the pleasure of participating in the 2019 World Travel Market Africa show in Cape Town, South Africa. The event was held at the Cape Town International Convention Centre (CTICC) from 10 – 12 April 2019 and brought together 7,500 travel industry professionals from around the world.

About 2019 World Travel Market Africa

World Travel Market Africa was launched in 2014 as one of six shows held across the world including WTM London and the Arabian Travel Market in Dubai. Delivered by World Travel Market (WTM), the aim is to bring the benefits and opportunities of world travel to travel professionals in Africa.

WTM Africa’s role is to deliver a mix of hosted buyers, media, pre-scheduled appointments, on-site networking, evening functions and invited travel trade visitors.

Beyond the event, WTM also continue to support professionals in the African travel industry to drive commercial success with all year round access to make connections, industry news and developments, trends and technologies from around the world.

Kudu Ridge Game Lodge at 2019 WTM Africa

Kudu Ridge Game Lodge attended the 2019 WTM Africa show with Addo Tourism and EC Tours to showcase all that the Addo region of the Eastern Cape, South Africa, has to offer.

The highlight of any visit to the Greater Addo is the Big 5 Addo Elephant National Park. This is the malaria-free alternative to the Kruger National Park and is easily accessible by road and flights in and out of the nearby Port Elizabeth airport. The Addo park stretches from the dry Karoo region north of the Zuurberg Mountain Range along the Sundays River valley to the sea and includes the islands of Algoa Bay. The Addo Elephant National Park is home to 600+ African elephant.

We also enjoyed sharing the wide variety of Addo activities including rafting on the Sundays River, zipling, quadbiking, sandboarding and the giant swing. We also spoke about the various accommodation options that suit all budgets.

We so enjoyed meeting with tour operators, travel agents and other visitors from around the world and hope to welcome their guests in the near future.

We are already looking forward the 2020 World Travel Market Africa.
